Harvest Readiness Planning
Confirm drying capacity in advance
Harvest capacity is usually limited by where the crop goes next, not by how fast it can be cut. Measure your drying space against the block size before harvest week.
Book testing early
Sampling and laboratory turnaround times tighten during peak season. Understand the required timeline for your program and schedule around it.
Stagger where possible
Varieties with different timing spread the workload. Planning that spread at seed order stage is easier than managing it in October.
Growing resources are educational only. They are not legal advice and they are not a substitute for your own agronomic judgement. Growers must follow local, state, federal, and licensing requirements that apply to their site. Licensed growers and distribution partners only.
