CBD for Pets
What the latest veterinary research says about cannabidiol in dogs
Pet owners have been asking about CBD for years, usually ahead of the data. That gap is starting to close. The National Animal Supplement Council has published a long term safety study on cannabidiol in healthy dogs, and it is worth reading before you form an opinion either way.

The NASC safety study
The National Animal Supplement Council announced a safety study on the use of CBD products in healthy dogs, published in Frontiers in Veterinary Science. It is the first study of its kind at this scale.
Researchers looked at the effects of several cannabinoids in dogs across a 90 day period, followed by a 14 day recovery phase. The findings indicate that CBD products were well tolerated at 5 mg per kilogram of body weight per day, with no notable risks observed over that extended use.
Bill Bookout, President of NASC, summarized the result this way: “These data demonstrate that different cannabinoids are safe for long-term use in healthy dogs.” The work also folded in roughly a decade of post market surveillance from the NASC Adverse Event Reporting Database, NAERS, which makes it one of the more thorough efforts in this space.
For the industry, the milestone matters. It reflects the council’s commitment to the health of companion animals while holding the line on integrity across the supplement category.
We grow the raw material behind the label
We supply the input, not the finished pet product
Our role is upstream. We breed and grow compliant hemp, and formulators build from there. If you make pet products, talk to us about biomass and flower supply.
Compliance first
Everything we sell is grown to the federal hemp standard, with third party testing per lot and documentation you can hand to your own compliance team.
Traceable material
We can tell you which selection, which field, and which harvest your material came from, which matters when your label has to stand up to scrutiny.
- Sold to licensed growers, licensed producers and processors, and authorized distribution partners only. We do not sell to unlicensed or personal-use buyers.
- This page summarizes published research for general information. It is not veterinary advice and nothing here is a treatment claim.
- Talk to a licensed veterinarian before giving any supplement to an animal, especially one on medication or with an existing condition.
- We do not sell finished pet products. Rules for animal supplements vary by state and by species.

Request lab documentation
Ask for the Certificate of Analysis and the certification letter for the lot you are quoted. We send what we hold on file for that lot.
Need help selecting genetics for your operation?
Send us your acreage, environment, and target harvest window. We will shortlist the lines that fit and tell you plainly which ones do not.
