Choosing Hemp Seed Genetics
Define the constraints first
Row spacing, canopy height, harvest method, and target finish week. Write them down. Most of a catalog rules itself out against those four lines.
Ask about grow-out history
How many cycles, in which environments, and what changed between them. A line that has only been run once has not been tested, it has been observed.
Request lot-specific documentation
Certificates of analysis, germination results, and feminization information should relate to the lot you are being quoted. Ask directly, and expect a direct answer either way.
Growing resources are educational only. They are not legal advice and they are not a substitute for your own agronomic judgement. Growers must follow local, state, federal, and licensing requirements that apply to their site. Licensed growers and distribution partners only.
